Turning Pages was honored to serve as an In-Kind Community Sponsor of the 2026 Teacher Symposium, celebrating the incredible educators who inspire students every day.
To support literacy in classrooms across Northeast Louisiana, we awarded two $500 classroom libraries and three iPads to local educators. By investing in teachers, we help ensure students have access to engaging books, meaningful learning experiences, and the resources they need to succeed.
Prime Time Family Literacy Program Launch
Carver-McDonald Branch – Ouachita Parish Public Library

Turning Pages was proud to help launch the Prime Time Family Literacy Program at the Carver-McDonald Branch of the Ouachita Parish Public Library, expanding opportunities for families to build literacy skills together.
Prime Time is an award-winning family literacy initiative that uses high-quality children’s literature to encourage meaningful conversations, strengthen family relationships, and foster a lifelong love of reading. Through engaging stories and guided discussions, families learn how reading together supports children’s language development, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth.
In addition to participating in the program, families can continue their learning at home with Prime Time Family Boxesand Prime Time Preschool Boxes. Each take-home kit includes carefully selected books to help build home libraries, hands-on learning materials, and a Grown-Up Guide filled with discussion questions and interactive activities that help caregivers bring Prime Time’s humanities-based approach to life at home.
Turning Pages is honored to partner with the Ouachita Parish Public Library to provide families with meaningful literacy experiences that extend beyond the library walls. By placing books and learning tools directly into the hands of children and caregivers, we are helping create stronger readers, stronger families, and stronger communities.
Family & Community Engagement Workshop
West Monroe Community Center Back-to-School Event

Turning Pages proudly partnered with the West Monroe Community Center during its annual Back-to-School Event, sponsored by Rayshawn Pleasant, former West Monroe High School football player and current Auburn University cornerback and return specialist.
As part of the event, we launched the first of seven Family & Community Engagement Workshops, bringing parents and caregivers together to learn practical ways to build strong reading habits at home. Families explored the importance of reading aloud, creating literacy-rich home environments, and supporting their children’s educational journey beyond the classroom.
